
Faculty of Law, Civil Law and Economics Section Holds Public Lectures and Scientific Meetings
On Saturday, October 29, 2022, the Economic Civil Law Section held a Public Lecture for Students. ibu4d This event was opened by the head of the civil and economic law section, Edi Hermansyah, S.H., M.H. In his remarks, he said that through this activity, it is hoped that students will observe crucial currents that can be used as problems in thesis research. The thesis is one of the final project requirements for completing undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Law and making legal memorandums, case studies, and dispute resolution in the regions. This activity was attended by the secretary of the section, namely Nurhani Fithriah, S.H., M.H., and lecturers in the Civil and Economic Law section, including Dr. Widiya N. Rosari, S.H., M.Hum., Ganefi, S.H., M.Hum., Wafiya, S.H., M.Hum., Rahma Fitri, S.H., M.H., and Dimas Dwi Arso, S.H., M.H.
Four presenters delivered their presentations in this public lecture, namely Prof. Dr. Herawan Sauni, S.H., M.S., Dr. Sirman Dahwal, S.H., M.H., Dr. Emelia Kontesa, S.H., M.Hum, and Dr. Nur Sulistyo B.A., S.H., M.Hum. Prof. Dr. Herawan Sauni Delivered material on National Intellectual Property Protection through Geographical Indication Registration. He explained the IPR regulations relating to geographical indications and examples of registered geographical indications. She added that the creative economy is essential to develop in research, especially about statute and implementation, intellectual property, copyright, and collateral law. Then Dr. Nur Sulistyo explained economic law: creative economy programs in villages and underdeveloped areas. She also explained the role of law in economic activities, the scope of economic law studies, SDGs (sustainable development goals), Village-Owned Enterprises, Tourism Villages, and Creative Economy.
The next day, the Faculty of Law, Civil Law and Economics Section held a scientific meeting with students. The purpose of this scientific meeting is to open the horizons and knowledge of students to determine the formulation of current problems that can be used as further research topics into thesis research by consulting with the lecturers present.
