Increasing Community Legal Awareness of the Main Rights of Road Users that Need to Take Priority on Highways in the PKK Women’s Group of the Padang Betuah Village Community, Bengkulu Tenga Regency

Actions to block the speed of vehicles that receive priority on the road have often occurred in the midst slot thailand of society. Not a few consequences of these actions caused both material and immaterial losses to the victims. Victims who have access to road user rights have difficulty getting ahead of other vehicles. This reality has become a concern and has stirred the hearts of UNIB Faculty of Law lecturers to carry out community service activities (PkM) for the PKK group, the people of Padang Betuah Village, Central Bengkulu Regency.

This PkM was held on October 12 2022 by the Team Leader Asep Suherman, S.H., M.H. with members Susi Ramadhani, S.H., M.H. and Sudirman Sitepu, S.H., M.Hum. In addition, this activity involved students from the UNIB Faculty of Law, namely Rahnia Putri, Fawwaz Athallah Hasian, and Ahmad Sanusi.

Through this activity, the Community Service Team provided legal counseling in the form of education, understanding, and dissemination of information to the public, especially the PKK, the community of Padang Betuah Village, Central Bengkulu Regency regarding the main rights of the road that need to take precedence on the main road. In general, the material presented is about the legal basis, actions, criminal sanctions for violators and community participation. The participants were so enthusiastic and enthusiastic about being involved in the PkM activities that were carried out and actively participated in the discussions that were held until the end of the event session.

This activity is expected to increase awareness, concern, anticipatory and be able to play an active role in preventing traffic violations regarding the main rights of road users in the community where they live. So that the use of the road is truly in accordance with its designation without the need to violate applicable ibu4d laws.
