Profile Faculty Law University Bengkulu

The Faculty of Law of Bengkulu University was established on August 24, 1982, based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 1982, and is the only State Faculty of Law in Bengkulu Province.

Determination of departments and the organizational structure of each Faculty within Bengkulu University was determined based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number: 0218/0/1992 dated June 22, 1982, which takes care of the basic field of study of Law. In order to follow and comply with the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia number 17/0/1993 in conjunction with the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 325/U/1994, the Faculty of Law, University of Bengkulu opened four specialization programs, namely (1) Civil Law and Economics (2) Administrative Law State and Administration, (3) Criminal Law and Community Protection, and (4) Law and Community Dynamics. Further developments, based on the Decree of the Chancellor of Bengkulu University number 881/J30.P/PP/1997, in the 1997/1998 Academic Year the Faculty of Law, University of Bengkulu only opened three specialization programs, namely (1) Civil Law and Economics, (2) Law State Administration and State Administration, (3) Criminal Justice System and Public Protection (Criminal). Since 2005 the law study program has been accredited and received an A accreditation.

In order to direct the activities carried out at the Faculty of Law, all existing activities refer to the Vision, Mission, Objectives and strategic plans of the Faculty of Law. The Vision, Mission, and Objectives of the Faculty. The law is stated as follows.

Vision of the Faculty of Law:

” Making the Faculty of Law a leading and pioneering social engineering based on local values “

Mission of the Faculty of Law:

  1. Organizing competency-based professional education.
  2. Carrying out research in a professional manner that leads to the
  3. preparation of social engineering models based on local values.
  4. Carrying out professional community service based on social engineering.

Law School Objectives:

  1. Improving the quality of human resources (lecturers, staff, students) in the fields of law education and teaching, legal research, and community service.
  2. Increasing the quantity and quality as well as research collaboration among lecturers and students on topics that lead to the preparation of social engineering models to create a safe, orderly and just society.
  3. Improving institutional (institutional) relations and cooperation with stakeholders in terms of advocacy, solutions, conflict resolution, good law development at regional, regional and national levels.
  4. Improving the management of a quality academic atmosphere in the field of education, particularly in the teaching and learning process in order to implement a predetermined curriculum in order to achieve the specified competencies
